The American Heart Association’s (AHA) report on the latest approval of Nexium 24HR for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is just one piece of the puzzle. It found that the drug had a strong sales impact from March through June. The drug’s market share of 20 percent was down from 40 percent a year ago.
But it was also a big market for the drug, and its success has been a big positive for consumers. The AHA’s analysis shows that 20 percent of customers saw significant growth in their prescriptions for the drug.
According to the report, 20 percent of patients were prescribed 40 mg of Nexium 24HR. And, 20 percent of customers were prescribed 40 mg of Esomeprazole. The drug is an effective, long-acting, once-daily therapy for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
“Many patients who are prescribed 20 mg of Nexium 24HR do not have symptoms,” says Dr. Jane C. Kaminetsky, medical director of gastroenterology at University of Tennessee-Chapel Hill. “They can feel nauseous, wheezing, and stomach cramps. These are not severe symptoms.”

“Nexium 24HR is a safe and effective treatment for reflux,” says Dr. Kaminetsky.
Nexium 24HR has been approved for use by doctors in the United States since 2002.
“There are many questions about whether Nexium 24HR can be used safely by patients,” says Dr. “A large majority of patients in the United States who have had symptoms of reflux (such as heartburn, indigestion, and loose stools) do not have symptoms.”
The FDA’s analysis of Nexium 24HR data shows that it may not be safe to use Nexium 24HR if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any other ingredients in Nexium 24HR.
The report also found that there were no major adverse effects on patients’ lives.
“Nexium 24HR has been used by millions of Americans for years,” says Dr.
The safety data for Nexium 24HR are not available. But the FDA’s drug safety monitoring program is looking into it.
“Nexium 24HR is safe for most patients,” says Dr. “However, there have been no major adverse effects reported in patients who take it, or have taken it for years.”
Nexium 24HR is not approved for use by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat patients with heartburn and indigestion.
“It is still not FDA approved for the treatment of GERD,” says Dr.
The FDA said that doctors should continue to follow the recommendations of the U. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safe use of the drug.
“It is important that we continue to provide the drug’s FDA-approved safety information to our patients,” says Dr.
“There is currently no FDA-approved safety information available for Nexium 24HR for GERD. We also don’t have any data on the safety of other prescription drugs for GERD.”
The AHA also notes that the FDA does not consider the risks associated with Nexium 24HR to be severe or life-threatening.
“The risks of side effects associated with Nexium 24HR and other drugs for GERD should be carefully considered before starting treatment,” says Dr.
The AHA also notes that Nexium 24HR should only be used by people who are pregnant or may become pregnant.
“While it may not be possible to guarantee the safety of Nexium 24HR in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, it is important that patients who are pregnant or may become pregnant have access to appropriate treatment options,” says Dr.
The AHA is currently reviewing the safety and efficacy of Nexium 24HR for use in people who have heartburn and indigestion.
